CFDA panel rife with bias - Example 2, Louis Chaban
There's a saying about foxes guarding hen houses......They're a bad idea.....And the same is true about modeling agents looking out for the eating habits of their models. One of the six members of the CFDA panel that formulated health guidelines for models is Louis Chaban, one of the top agents at DNA Models.
If the American fashion industry had enacted a minimum BMI of its models, half of Louis' employees would be out of work and mainlining doughnuts and ice cream.
Here are some of DNA's models:
Agyness Deyn enjoying a satisfying meal backstage during fashion week.
Snejana Onopka is 5'9", and according to Wikipedia, while appearing on a Ukrainian tv show, Snejana got on a scale and it read 45kg (100 lbs). This would give her a BMI of 14.8.
If you really want to get depressed, go to some of the pro-anorexia sites and see how Snejana is glorified. Please, somebody give this girl something to eat!
Hana Soukupova is 6' tall and weighs no more than 120 lbs. This would give her a BMI of 16.3.
While the designers say that using ultra-skinny models is the best way to show clothes, I don't want to know how clothes look on hangers, I want to know how clothes look on humans.
The CFDA panel offers too much bias, and not enough muscle.
omg you f**king idiots..i hate the whole skinny anorexic model bullsh*t.
theyre not anorexic, its just their bodytype! im a 17 yr old male 6'2 and i only way 55kg. so according to you guys im probably anorexic. but im not, im very healthy and eat like a freaking pig, im jst lucky i dont put on weight, im long limbed and skinny and so are these girls. my mum was the same when she was younger and ofcourse got sh*t for it at school. you dont even know snejana onopka she might eat like a pig too, shes jst a skinny woman. and i hate that when people see a heaps scraughny guy they say 'eww hes not hot put on some muscle' but when they see a scraughny girl they say 'ew shes anorexic'. get over it you fat f**ks! these girls are human and i think its horrible of you to say theyre not! tall long thin woman model clothes because their body type and figure can pull anything off, ofcourse theyre not gonna model clothes on fat people!

i am no way a supporter of anorexia, but you guys are very foolish for creating this blog. if clothes were modeled on 'normal' or plus sized models, the clothes would look totally different and fashion would be very different and depressing. If a dress is being modeled on a model with no waist, in a dress that a waist is needed, it distorts the design. if the editor of vogue sees a dress that looks like a box when it is supposed to look like an hourglass, it wont appear in magazines, which means it wont be copied off of by cheaper designers, which means what all you 'anti fashion' people will be wearing will be very different. and if you are going to attack unhealthy eating habbits, why are you suggesting eating McDonalds and binging at buffets? The leading cause of death in this country is due to over eating related diseases and illnesses. people like you make people think it is ok to deform their bodies by filling it with filth.
